Scientist Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) persuades his arrogant former classmate, Victor von Doom (Julian McMahon), to fund his experiments with cosmic energy. Chris Evans saves this from being a 2/5 movie. Fun to watch. Sue and Reed are very bland aside from comedic moments. This is a classic early 2000s superhero movie. I think the poor acting hurt it a ton and The Thing is honestly so annoying to look at. After rewatching recently I remember why I never liked these as a kid - I never felt much for the actual heros except The Thing but man the costume is simply hideous. Good prequel for the new 2025 version tbh. Doom is ok.
